Hi,
I have downloaded the demo version of OnLocation to test it.
I could record DVCPro50 material, but it was shown on the OnLocation "Monitor"! in 16:9, even though I had it on 4:3 in the HVX200.
Also, I could not replay these clips well in Liquid.
The played fot 10m seconds, then the frame rate dropped and then the pictures froze. Clicking on the clip again, and the same procedute repeated. Same for DV material btw.
Back to OnLocation: When I changed in the HVX200 the record format to HD, the picture froze and nothing happened. Or a red bar came and said "no video signal".
It seems, OnLocation cannot record HD or am I wrong?
When I use the method, mentioned in another thread by Ozzymandiuns:
I get a black screen with a red bar saying: No video input found. Check connection and net
What settings do I have to use at the camera?
My Computer has is Pentium 4 CPU with 3 GHZ and 2 GB Ram
Thanks for the help
Dieter

When I use the method, mentioned in another thread by Ozzymandiuns:
- Hook your HVX to your laptop via firewire.
- Start up OnLocation software and open a 16:9 monitor from the component drop-down menu, if one is not already visible.
- Also choose the DV recorder component if it is not already visible
- Turn on your camera.
- On your camera's menu, go to recording and set up 720 P or 1080 P recording.
- Just make sure not to choose "PN" recording, as that does not transmit over firewire
- In OnLocation, choose HVX from the device drop-down menu
- In the OnLocation monitor you should now see what your camera sees
- You do not need to press record on your camera, only press record on the OnLocation DV recorder bar
- You are now recording HD footage direct to your laptop's HD!
I get a black screen with a red bar saying: No video input found. Check connection and net
