Hi, i want to buy this exelent camera soon, but recently i could see that almost every movie or film shooted by this camera use lenses , M2 redrock, Sgpro, 50mm , 35mm nikon lens, etc, and I dont have any idea of what it is it for, DOF maybe?? or that helps for that ¨movie look¨?? or whit out it i just simply cant give a good quality to my films...cant somebody explain me a litter more better?? thanks

- sorry about my bad inglish.

Generally people add 35mm lens adapters and lenses to achieve a shallower depth of field. Small chip cameras don't generally have a very shallow DOF. There are ways to emulate a shallow depth of field. Adding a 35mm adapter is a way of achieving a shallow depth of field. There are trade off's though, as always. Light loss, etc.

Searching around the forums here should reveal a wealth of info on the subject.

I don't think you should spend any of your hard-earned cash until you understand what those things are and until you really know what you want. There is alot more to this than buying gear and pressing the record button.
