Recently, I have seen several videos online with and without color correction.
To me, the videos that have been color corrected look much more professional and artistic.
Good color correction seems to take away a lot of the home-movie look, which is exactly what I am after -- beautiful, artistic film-like images.
Just wondering, how does one color correct? Is their a specific program? And how does one shoot a scene with color correction in mind? Should you tweak the the camera's internal settings (like the HVX's gamma and color adjustments) or should you shoot as plain as possible? Whats the advantage of using a camera's internal adjustments vs post color correction?
Another question: how is using a program with pre-determined film looks (like magic bullet) different than color correcting? Is magic bullet the same as color correction? When you color correct, are you going for "correct colors" or specific "film looks"? '
It's all very confusing to me, but when I see "before" and "after" clips of a video with and without color correction, the color corrected video just blows me away.
