Hi. Can I ingest/record to both FCP and to P2 at the same time? Any insight, settings or tips you can share with me to make this work?

(P2 will be my back up)

Yes, hook up the fire wire and digitize like you normally would. Record to p2 the same way. You can not use any of the "pn" modes because they will not out put via fire wire. Depending on if you laptop wants to be controlled you may need to adjust the 1394 settings in other options. Doa trial run to make sure it works. I use a firestore and record to both p2 and firestore. Int his set up i set 1394 control to both. I don't think your laptop will want to be controlled so you might want this off.
