Shot some 720/30p & 720/30pn yesterday. Went to Log & Transfer, and only the PN clips will transfer. The P clips are playable in the transfer viewer window, and can be added to the queue, but the Status field starts showing the spinning double-headed arrow and shortly changes to a red exclamation mark (transfer failed). The transfer bar which shows amount of clip transferred never moves. I have NEVER seen this red exclamation before. (In 4 years of using P2.)
Tried this process using the card in both a 170 & a HPX500, same results.
Copied card contents to HDD, then used Log & Transfer, same result.
Clips play back fine in the 170. (Though I have not played them all the way through.)
So it appears that 30p clips are somehow "broken" in that they won't transfer. But they play fine in camera. No error indicated in camera.
My workaround will be to play these out of the camera via SDI & capture realtime.
Any thoughts as to WTH is going on? Thanks.
