HVX white lcd

I know im not the only one with this type of problem but i cant find a thread anywhere.

i open my lcd and it the screen goes blank, if i open it slightly i can see the screen working fine but if i open it all the way it goes white.

anyone know of a fix or a link for more info?

Time to take it to an authorised repairer. At a guess I would say that the ribbon to the LCD is damaged or dislodged. If that's the case it should be a relatively inexpensive repair. If you're asking the question I wouldn't recommend opening it up yourself. I'm quite comfortable with electronics but I wouldn't open mine. Quite often with these compact devices there's a knack to getting everything reseated when you put it back together that only someone with direct experience has.

The second day I had my Hvx had the same exact problem with the lcd and soon was the wiring only became looser and only has grey/black lines running through it when its barely open. I've tried three times to order the part from panasonic and twice sending the wrong part and spending about a hundred bucks just to be told the third time trying to get the right part they said its irreplaceable and you can buy it from panasonic. so as far as I know, we both, are screwed. If you have any luck finding the part please give me the information so I may someday have my lcd screen working.
