HVX vs HMC150

I am in the position where I am going to get new cameras . I am torn between the HVX and the HMC150, besides the obvious price difference for cards, for wedding and event capturing, what is the better camera to go with. Any and all comments are welcome.

Does the HMC give as good as image as the HVX? and will the difference between 1080i (HVX) and 1080p (HMC) be noticeable?

Thanks in advance.

The 200/170 shoot 1080p, too. The images are pretty similar, except that the 200/170 has better color sampling due to the codec. The codec is also more robust, and the P2 cards are more reliable. Plus, you have more tools, like variable frame rates.

In short, the 200/170 (especially the 170) would be the better camera pretty much all around. The question, of course, is if the difference is worth the extra price to you and your purposes, which are specifics that only you can ultimately decide on.
