HVX vs DVX

I have a DVX100A that is getting old and beat up but still works fine except for a yellowish color cast in the LCD. The EVF picture colors are correct. I was thinking of upgrading to a HVX200.

I plan to only shoot SD for the near future, for the types of videos I do there would be no call for HD at the present time.

My questions are:

How many hours can I realistically expect to get out of my DVX before it dies?

Will the HXV create a better finished SD product than the DVX does or will there be no difference?

Thanks

Dave

The HVX can create a much better finished SD product, especially if you're shooting 16:9 24p.

If you're shooting 480/60i in 4:3, the DVX still has advantages over the HVX, but for pretty much anything else the HVX is superior. The DVX will always be more sensitive though.
