HVX video- Metal band from Iowa

Awesome, looks great! The template over the black and white portions is a bit distracting and may look better if removed altogether, but it looks great over all. Im impressed :)

What was your lighting kit? 720 or 1080? Sorry for all the questions but this is some of the best HVX stuff I've seen.-Rock-adam
 
Stock HVX, no adapter. Limited budget and help so I had to double as director/camera (which I would rather not do again!). Lighting was from a grip truck with a bunch of 2Ks and 1Ks, can't remember the exact models but we were going for a pretty hard look. Couple 1K softlights on the actress scenes.

Narrative stuff is 720P, performance footage was shot 1080. Thanks for your feedback-Ben
 
Very nice. The song rocks too. No adapter Huh? Looked great. I felt that the time code during the band performance should have matched the actual running time. What did you use to create the counter?

Also I forgot to look so I will ask, what is the name of the band? They sound really good.

I used a FCP clock filter that is freely available on the internet. Appreciate your feedback. The band is called Destrophy www.myspace.com/destrophy

Thanks Ben. We need to make the switch to FCP. Premiere Pro is the bane of our existence. God I hate it. At least you can tell when it is acting up and save before your whole PC crashes. Sorry to rant. Good job.

poo pooing aye great! Don't change a thing! Perfection! Great band, too! Nice to see "my name" on such great work, too! LOL!

My one and only problem with the video: dudes with crew cuts should NEVER attempt to head bang, it just doesn't work and looks really awkward...
 
How did you crop the balck bars off for 2:23:1 ?
I've been searching for the answer for this for ages.
