How are you? I'm in Chicago and would love to share HVX experiences. We're about to shoot a feature on Monday with the HVX and edit in FCP. Look forward to hearing from you.

What we're about to do on our shoot is shoot 1080i and from the firewire port in the camera record straight to the Panny 1200A HD-Deck. That way we get longer shooting times as well as a tape back-up. It'll be a small drag to wrangle the cable and position the deck but we feel it'll be worth it. Will let you guys know how it goes.

Sounds like the beginning of a good group. Anyone have any recomendations on a good location to meet? I know of a coffee shop (near the Brown stop) on Damen. I'm not sure if they're cool with us maybe setting up some gear, but I can ask the owners. They're usually not too busy on a week night.

Does anyone have an M2 to display?
Also, is anyone interested in seeing the DV Rack PC software capture method?
I can bring that along for the first meeting, if anyone's interested.
Also the P2Genie application.

Meeting time? Which time and day would work best for everyone?
1. Thursday August 3rd
2. Wednesday August 9th

I'm in Highland Park and would love to join in this group. Got my HVX from Roscor (great company and salesperson), shooting some corporate, fashion, etc. on one 4GB P2 card downloaded to a 15" G4 Powerbook, editing on a dual 2.3 G5 tower, FCP Studio 5.1.1. So far everything works great. There are some good places to meet near me but they may be a little hike from the city. Let me know.

Location:4700 N. Damen Ave - Perfect Cup

I spoke with the owner and they're happy to let us to meet and even set up gear, as long as we purchase a cup or snack.

Hey all,

I'm in Chicago and am a DVX 100A User, but would love some exposure to the HVX and those who use it.

I can't make it to the first meeting on the 10th, but if you continue to meet I'd be interested in joining up - as long as I'm not required to show my HVX at the door :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
 
Remember there'll be a Chicago BootCamp at the end of this month, we'll have a DVX BootCamp and an HVX BootCamp for any members in Chicago interested in attending.

ORLANDO.. ORLANDO.... Good restaurants.. Mickey. Space Mountain. Manatees. Beaches close enough to smell the burning snowbirds. Living is good down here and you'd get people from all over the State. In Atlanta, you are only going to get people from Atlanta.. because, Atlanta is surrounded by Georgia.. and there ain't much of nuthin' around there.


Otown... and just think you might run into a boyband... ! Bring it to Otown.
