HVX Users unite! :)

C'mon, once a month or so we can all get together and mess around. Trade tips n' tricks, etc. It'll be invaluable!

Ok, cool. Now there is two of us. :)

Sponster, PM your contact info (name, phone, email) and I'l start putting together a list. Once we have 3+ people, we'll schedule a meeting and I'll post it.

I've sent out some bulletins but only one person responded. I'm using MySpace to keep track of this user group so please visit that group site often for details.

I'm planning our first meeting and I need to know what weekend day/time you all prefer. I'm trying to narrow down a location so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Do not respond to this post here, instead go over to MySpace. It's just easier for me to keep track that way.
 
Hey DC, think us DVXusers could get in on the meeting too? For some reason, nothing is happening in DVXland... maybe HVX and DVXusers of Los Angeles can unite!
 
You guys head over to the MySpace group and join up. We'll figure out the details there. I will try to ocassionally post on here about it but will mainly just be directing people to MySpace for this.

I don't mind if DVX users want to join but I really want to keep the focus on the HVX. So anything that would be discussed about the DVX should ideally be able to be transposed to the HVX. For example, "Hey guys, I built this great camera stabilizer for my DVX, and with the weight requirements, it would also be great for the HVX! Let's test it out!" :)

It has just been quiet lately.

I'll have to start organizing the next meeting. But I want to wait until I get my HPX170 (very soon) and sorta make that the highlight.

It's no longer an HVX200 user group because there are more P2 cameras available now. It is now called the "P2HD Los Angeles User Group."

Anyone in the LA area can be a part of the group. All you need to do is own or have an interest in P2HD cameras.
 
Does anybody repair or know someone who can service HVX200's? Mine is having menu button and camera mode button malfunctions, when I googled the only thing I could find was that there was some wiring issues. If not I'll probably have to get this thing checked out at a shop where they'll charge me out the ass
