HVX shooting on tape...dropped frames digitizing

Hey everybody,

I'm getting lots of timecode breaks when digitizing DVtape shot on my HVX, how can I fix this?

From what I've been told, striping tape is a myth. When you record, the camera is generating new TC, and not reading what's already there. I've been told this by reps from Panny and Canon.

Keep your heads clean, don't drop the camera, use quality Panny tapes.
