HVX Shipping In Canada

David@Leo's Camera

Leos Camera Canada
For all you Canucks with cameras on order, it sounds like all the dealer demos are shipping at the end of this month with inventory shipping mid-February.
It looks like we're going to get our entire pre-order on the first inventory shipment but we still have a few cameras available. Gee, I guess not too many people are interested in the HVX...
From what I gather, even though some U.S. dealers got their demos ahead of us, the inventory stuation is about the same.

I have applied at different preorder, since none can't really promise something before july.

I want a HVX200 + 3x4gig + 1xP2 Store, I am in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
So far reseller didnt like I asked 1 extra P2 card + a P2 Store... I mean I beleive they would love to sell more, but there just seem anoyed :undecided

Anyone who can have it soon ;) email me

I have dream of this cam... but it never would power on !!! How frustrating

I spoke to the Regional Account Manager Broadcast Systems to Panasonic Canada Inc. today and he confirmed shipments to suppliers at the end of the month. So for all you Hvx shooters out there open you're pocket books.

Ok ok... I have put this 500$ deposit !! hehe, it still mid-feb (I can hope faster) but atless I have a date !!! Sorry to hear your sick David, I got a freaking cold also !!!

A nice lady helped me out at the store.

I'll take the pelican package also... And I really hope they get the P2 Store and the extra P2!!! Can you make sure those are ordered ;)

My Birthday is the 5 february, would be amazing receiving it by then hehe

What deals can you offer, David? I just want to know if it's worth buying from you as compared with getting it from the states.

I think David and DVshop are offering deals that are very competitive to the US. I'll be buying mine from Canada.

Just looked at DVShop.. It's a relief that I don't have to go out of country just for a decent price.

I will send you a pm tomorrow with all our pricing. Panasonic Canada has ensured that pricing is very competitive to the U.S. So far on a couple of quotes I've done, it's worked out to be even cheaper.

The prices I got from Them is cheaper than DVShop and vistek. They also offer packages with casing and extra battery and filters... I dlike to know the exact specs of those. I know the case is a Pelican 1520, but I got no idea of it internal configuration. I would love something that will protect my investement ;) Also there is a 10h battery and filters I think, but no idea of more specs than that. I guess david can show us something interesting.

BTW I do NOT want to receive my camera in the Pelican case... I want to be the first to open my Panasonic box (It a ritual of taking picture at the grand opening hehe)

Oh also for people who wonder, ESTIMATE SHIPPING from Vancoucer to my door porch is 100$ + 80$ insurance. That for express 2 days delivery. With the saving from leo store, I am still saving after the cost of shipping.

I'm home sick with the flu today so I won't be able to handle too many questions. For everyone who asked for a quote yesterday, I will try to respond to you personally today.
For any additional questions or futher quotes you can call the store at 604 685-5331 and ask for Jeff or email: jeff@leoscamera.com.
They will be short-staffed today so you may not get a direct response but you will be well looked after. Thanks for your understanding!

Don't worry, we don't ship the camera in the case unless you specifically ask for it. We do usually open the box to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be but we don't have to if you prefer it.
Because we haven't had the camera in our hands yet, we're not sure if we will package it with the 15520 or 1550. It won't change the price either way.
The battery is the Panasonic CGA- D54s.
Regards,

The 1550 is a good case. I've never seen one been broken, not to say they can't be, but they are very tough. Have a nice padding that you can custom fit.. I've never actually got at one myself but it's supposed to be pick-n-pluck or something.. *shrugs* It's a good case, the 1520 is just a little smaller. They'll both keep your camera safe.

I'm really impressed that there are good deals from this side of the border. I won't be placing an order for a couple of months so I just wanted to make sure these aren't only preorder prices. If I can order in the near future at what you've quoted you've got me sold though.

I was surprised about good Canadian deal also. I already had my trip to the US booked with my brother to get the camera.

David, I was told there were a package that cost extra ofcourse that included the case 1520 + 10h hours batterie + filters.

Ok just reread your post. what ever work best. As for opening the box. I dlike to have the honor to open it. Weight it before to make sure the camera is in there ;)

The interior of the 1520 or 1550 case is what ? will it be precut for the hvx200, or is it just velcro seperator ?

Good description there under the features tab for the 1520.

There's no *need* for a tripod that costs anywhere near that much... You can get a perfectly workable tripod for only a few hundred for a camera of this size. The more you pay, however, the better quality you get. Depends on your budget and needs as always.

The dvxuser batteries have a little edge in charge capacity from the specs and you can get two for the price of one D54.. Seems like an easy choice to me.

I do features so I prefer a good shotgun mic on a boom. You have to decide what you need in that area.
