HVX SD DVCPRO25/DV This is Odd.....

When i capture from DV tape 1 hour of footage is 13.2 Gigs. roughly. Why when i put in 2 8gig cards, and shoot DVCpro25 to P2 cards, the record time is only 67 minutes. Shouldnt it be like 75- 76 minutes???? is it less compressed? arent they supposedto be nearly identical?

The data rate is identical. You don't get a full 8GB, there's some FAT3e2w overhead and stuff. You also lose a bit of space to redundancy because the audio is recorded separately on the P2 card, whereas it's interleaved with the video stream when shooting to tape.
