HVX Red Pixelation

Hey guys,

I have had my HVX for a while now and have recently noticed some pixelation in bright red light sources, I have a few pictures to illustrate my point.

Since I noticed this I decided to check out and see if this was happening before or after the FCP log and transfer. Looking through the camera at a bright red light source yielded no visible pixelation (at full zoom with focus assist as an extra zoom) but it's hard to say as the LCD and viewfinder are less than perfect on the HVX.

Has anyone run into this problem before, or has an idea what the problem could be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First piece of advice, check it with a production monitor.

Second, red up on the color issues in DV, HD and SD. Red is always an issue. While I think this is more an issue with the computer viewing what a production monitor wont see, and since it doesn't appear blown out, I wouldn't be too concerned. If it continues to bug you, you can always use a balancing card to balance the whites of the video cooler and then correct in post. which some recommend to avoid the aliasing you see there.

Aliasing is the correct word, right?
