HVX rebate package no time soon

I bought my HVX November 2 and faxed my "promotional" paperwork to Panasonic on the same day. Delivery is normally 6-8 weeks.

So I've been waiting almost 4 months and still no $700 worth of battery/software/book. So I've been calling the "rebate hotline" and leaving my phone number. I never got a call back.

Today, I actually got a person on the other end of the phone. She said that Panasonic has not sent them any materials for months. She has no idea when they will get the items for the promotion.

I'll call B&H and see if I can return it based on the fact that Panasonic hasn't come through with the promotional items the purchase was partially based on.

I mean, if they have so many 16 gig P2 cards laying around they are putting them in the box as a promotion, and they can't seem to get the Anton Bauer package then just send me a 16 gig card.

And the customer service lines BLOW. What a run around.
 
It took mine a good 3 months, maybe more if I remember correctly.

As an online retailer myself I'd like to add that B&H has no responsibility for Panasonic's lengthy rebate issue. I don't think it's fair to stick them with a return because of Panasonic.
 
I did my rebate app. on 11-3 and still nothing over here. But I did send Panasonic 5 angry emails today telling them to just cut me a check for $700 or a 16 GB P2. Bad customer service is exactly the reason I left Sony. I surely won't go out of my way to recommend Panasonic products to anyone.
 
I purchased mine in late August and have yet to receive anything. It kind of disappoints me as I would have just bought Barry's book on my own by now. What is the deal, Panasonic?
 
I purchased my camera in august as well. Two days ago I get a box in the mail. Had no idea what it was. I had given up on the rebate. Box contained Barrys book, huge battery and a software cd (DVD).

Keep the faith. It will probably show up when you least expect it.

I must be the lucky one... I filled out my rebate online back in September when I got the camera. I then slacked on faxing them my invoice. I sent the invoice 2 weeks ago and lo and behold last wed. (about a week after faxing) I got my package in the mail. I was expecting it to take a while but I guess they were holding one for me.

If anyone wants it I'll sell you the software. I'm not going to be using it any time soon. Just shoot me a PM.
