HVX Quck Time for import to Avid

I have footage that was shot and recorded to Firestore FS-100 using the Quick Time Native 23.976 format. I am unable to play these files in Quick Time 7.1.5 or 6.5 on my PC. When importing it into Avid I get a picture that moves 1 frame per second and the 300MB QT file turned into a 4GB MXF File. Any suggestions on how I can get these Quick Times to play properly in Avid or anywhere on my PC for that matter???
