HVX Price and New info

[Avenger007]

Not sure if anyone has posted this info yet but if you check out panasonics site they have price information and much more. Check it out:

http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webap...d=14569&modelNo=AG-HVX200&surfModel=AG-HVX200

U.S. List Price $5,995.00 (camera only)
U.S. List Price $9,995.00 (camera + two 8GB P2 cards)

I noticed that BH sells the 100A for $3099 now after the $300 rebate. The camera retails for $3999, so its possible the HVX will have a street price of roughly $5399?

Those were the prices announced at NAB back in April FYI.

I would expect the Panasonic to have a street price of $5995 until the first rush of "demand" is filled. After the early adopters buy it, if demand settles down, then maybe we'll see some "street price" variation. Prices are set based on supply & demand, so the more demand there is, the higher the price will be.
