HVX overheating...

I left my HVX powered on its bag for 1.5 hrs. It was quite warm when I pulled it out. Can this be damaging to the camera?
 
I did the same thing for a couple hours, my camera was like a lava rock. If they have an over heat shut down circut it wasn't hot enough to trigger it. No problems with my camera after. It might be something to consider for guys who shoot outside in the winter to keep thier camera's from freezing, or use it for a portable heater :)
