HVX on ebay for less than $4K, is it OK?

"My ebay seller rating is actually pretty good."

Those are exactly the accounts that the scammers target. Every single day on ebay there are hundreds of perfectly legit accounts that get stolen and used for scams. Legit accounts with very high positive feedback. Very good idea (as has been stated) to enter into a dialog with the seller (before buying) to help weed out stolen accounts. If you ask specific questions like "Any problems with the auto focus?" and you get an answer like "All camera function good. You will be very happy with purchase." run like hell.
 
I got my HVX from ebay for about $3800 last June. They tried to sell me a bunch of other crap that I didn't need. It worked out well for me, but that's because I didn't need a P2 card (my school is letting me borrow one for an indefinite time).

It was overall a scary ordeal, because there was always the possibility of it being a scam. I would stick with a used one from a trusted individual if I were to do it again.
