HVX Off Tripod

when using the multirig with the support pod I can easily adjust focus and zoom. all it takes is one hand just barely holding the camera still and the other is free to adjust at will. once you get it all adjusted to you and get used to using it you can wear it for hours without an issue. although for shorter takes I like to use it in its fig rig looking setup and the control there is just amazing.
 
One thing about the DV Multi Rig bothering me is, that the third arm, going over the shoulder, can´t be locked into place (to form a more or less straight line with the camera plate...)
Since there is only a simple hole missing to let the golden pin snap in, I´m thinking of drilling one at the position most comfortable for me...
Further, this same extendable arm tends to turn loose where connecting to the baseplate, thus slipping on the shoulder, maybe some component glue can help here...
All in all the flexibility of the MultiRig has its downsides, making it a little instable in itself (the "arms" not staying in position), there are bolts that can be tightened though, maybe after some use they simply have to be retightened (with some fear of overtightening them...)
One last thing, that should be improved at least for me, is the connection of the stabilizing pole with the rig itself, some sort of quickrelease would save the constand screwing/unscrewing and would reduce "pick up" times...
Did I say that I still don´t want to miss my MultiRig :thumbsup:
