HVX & Multiple Recordings???

[larryz23]

I am looking to purchase the HVX200 and I have two questions:

Can the HVX200 record the DVCPro signal on tape and on a Firestore at the same time?

Can it record the HD or the DVCPro50 signl on the P2 and a Firestore at the same time?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

Thanks,

1. No, no DVCPRO to tape, but yes you can record DV to tape and firestore at the same time.
2. Yes.

Barry, can you simultaneously record Dv onto tape while recording onto P2

[THoff]

No. There is a mode switch that selects between tape and P2, it's one or the other. Also, the mode can only be changed when the camera is off.

Thanks for the info! I like the idea of using the P2 and the firestore at the same time for DVCPro50 and HD.
