HVX model suffixes... Ugh, where is that thread??

Hey guys, I just got my HVX-200 (yay!)

Anyway, it is an: AG-HVX200PJ

I was just wondering, what does the "PJ" mean on the end? I thought I saw a thread somewhere that dealt with what the different suffixes mean on the HVX-200, anyone know where it is?

I bought from an authorized dealer (Pro Video & Tape), locally... but I am just paranoid. I want to make sure I have a camera under warranty & eligible for the Panasonic promotion (8gb p2 + HVX book).

Thanks!

I haven't searched, but I recall seeing that all US domestic models now carry the PJ suffix. You've got a camera intended for the US market and qualify for support/warranty work and the 8GB P2 card/Barry's book.

Edit: HERE is the relevant thread. Please see David Hoffman's post (#11) for the explanation.

Hey filmguy,

I'm a Portland local and looking to get into a HVX200 sometime soon. How was Provideo to deal with? What kind of price did you get may I ask?

Hey Arman, Pro Video was fine to deal with. I didn't leave feeling like it was spectacular, but I got what I wanted.

I paid $5195. I've heard of some people getting lower prices, but

1.) I bought local
2.) I didn't pay any shipping and I got it immediately
3.) No tax (Oregon)
4.) I didn't buy a single accessory from them (which I think they were dissapointed about)

They didn't have a lot of what I wanted in stock, so I am ordering the rest on B&H.

I am wondering - for those that bought the camera cheaper (ie around $5k) - did you bundle a lot of accessories with it? Did you pay tax & a lot for shipping?
