HVX & Mac Cinema Display

Hello everybody,

I was wondering if anybody used Mac Cinema Display as a HD production monitor together with HVX camera or any HD camera in general? Can it be used as a production monitor and if it is what do I need to know about hooking it up with HVX on the set?
I'd really appricate it anybody has any information about it!

Computer monitors make lousy video monitors, besides, the HVX outputs component analog which the Cinema Display does not have inputs for. You would be much better off with an inexpensive HD video monitor.

The Dell 2405 and 2407 are both superior to the Apple displays and they have analog video inputs but they still look lousy with a video signal, I have a 2405 that I was using for this but I have since retired it to a computer monitor for my G5 and am using a cheap Sony LCD that actually looks pretty good.
