I got a request from Jay Truesdale to repeat a posting I recently did on another list.
The posting concerned removing the HVX lens in order to clean /repair etc.
I had sand stuck in my focus ring after a shoot on a beach in the Keys. We are so busy lately I have no time to send the cam out.
If any of you ever need to fix your lens in the field and cannot wait for a repair or replacement cam, you may find the following info. usefull.
To view pics and read caution notes on this easy but DELICATE procedure just click here: http://www.digitalislandmedia.com/hvx200_lens_repair.html
While there you can check out some HVX footage shot recently in the Keys. Just click on "reel" then choose "lifestyle"
