Hvx Lcd Scratched

Hi Folks,

My once pride and joy (until my camera assistant got his hands on it) has light scratches all over the LCD. When I popped it open I started screaming like Ned Flanders.......I asked him what he used to clean the thing with and he said "just used my lens cloth" at which point I asked if I could see said lens cloth. He whips out the cloth from his Utility belt and the damn thing has bits of sand all over it, so in spite of thinking he was doing the right thing, it looks like he's cleaned the LCD with some fine metal wool.

Anyway, my question is: Are there any readily available products that will remove the scratches and if so can you provide links please.

Let this be a lesson to one and all that a cheap LCD Protector will save you getting a few white hairs in the long run.

Yes, there are a number of plastic polishes / scratch removal products available. They are used on anything from laptop screens, PDAs and iPods to watch faces. Just Google it.

 

[Spec-Comm]

Just be careful that you find something that won't harm the thin film coating on the LCD. We are a very large service facility for Panasonic and know how expensive those things are to replace.
