HVX in wedding videography, best way to explain the workflow

Yes it's a native 16:9 on the HVX, yes the image gets wider when swapping into 16:9 mode, and yes you can export to a 16:9 DVD. Don't know how Avid does it, but it's basically what the system is designed to do.
 
Yes, you want to shoot in squeeze, it records the native 16x9 in the highest quality it can squeeze onto MiniDV.
