I recently shot a music video at the Continental club in Austin.
Overall stop on stage was probably around a T2 at 500asa. We used 3 Hvx cameras and
I added a 1k baby as a rim light off stage. Stuff Looks great. Especially on big monitor.

You can check it out here. look under new stuff.

Looks nice.. Nice Job.. Glad to hear about the low light use.. I'm actually shooting a test for a feature at a Hip Hop club tonight.. Hope it's as bright as your location!

If you have available any lights it helps to have some backlight. Most stage stuff is just front lit. This camera definitely likes reds as well. I'll be posting some other stuff soon.

Todd, your demo is killer! You need a larger version to really show off your work. Maybe some faster music? Plus you should name you reel with your name. I only have a few hundred DP reels running around!

Very nice footage... Would be great to see it larger. Also your synch seems to be off quite a bit.. audio is ahead of the video maybe 8 frames or such...

Thanks for showing!

nice footage, I love austin and the music scene on 6th st and others. I am interested how you recorded the sound for this? Did you use go directly into the camera? mixer? What mic system did you use?

Thanks all for the input. regarding size, size of video that is, I am still searching for best
method of compression. I am using compressor but can't quite get what is perfect. Anyway, any compression tips appreciated. As far as sound for video, this was done on a stereo dat. However, we have since started using a presonus system to a hard drive through logic. Multi channel.

No gain up. Iris open all the way, file f5 and I did some tweaking on other stuff. I also shot at 1/24 shutter. There are a few shots using the hvx on the front of my reel that look great. Those were shot at 1080. Wish I could make a larger viewing size, I am looking for tips on best compression workflows.
