HVX head cleaning

A while back there was a lot of talk about how and how often to clean the DVX tape head. Garry_S had his own method:

Does that still apply to the HVX? Has anyone needed to clean theirs? How did you do it? I'm trying to decide whether to do it myself or get it done professionally.

I was looking around for some information on that. Because I didn't clean my heads for over a year. I've had a few dropouts recently, so I decided it was time.

Play the "digital video head cleaner" for 10 seconds and that's it. Only 10 seconds (it should stop by itself)

You don't need to clean your heads often, only when you experience dropouts. I didn't know you weren't suppossed to use Sony Tapes before..A year ago I used lots of Sony Tapes.
