HVX HD to SD conversion

Hello I'm a new member and I have a question that I hope I can get some help with. I recently decieded to go with the HVX for My feature project primarily because I need native 16x9 and the DVX doesn't have native 19x9. My final output will be SD (and I'm editing in SD)but the HVX doesn't shoot 16x9 in SD. I'm shooting a 90min feature with the HVX and the M2 adapter(with the PL mount) and Cooke prime lenses. My idea was to shoot HD at 720 on the p2 (if I'm not wrong the HVX native 16X9 is only available in when shooting HD)cards then use the HVX to convert the footage to SD. But I see this becomeing a nightmare because I'm shooting a feature length project in 9 days and the HVX does conversions in realtime(not to mention the small amout of footage the P2 cards hold). I'm renting 5 4G p2 cards. I'd like to know if any of you "grandmasters" have any work flow solutions to my dilema?. Native 16x9 is a must for my project and the HD to SD footage from the HVX is amazing.

The HVX-200 is 4:3/16:9 switchable in SD. The CCDs are native 16:9, so that makes me assume that 4:3 is achived by cropping off the sides of the 16:9 image since the CCD is actually a slightly higher resolution then needed for 4:3 SD video. So the camera has 960X540 CCDs but the normal 4:3 resolution is 640 X 480. So 16:9 SD should have 8-hundred something X480 as the native resolution (slightly less than the CCD since all pixels won't be active.).

(Somebody confirm I got the resolution for 4:3 from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/480p)

It is native 16:9. In DVCPRO50/DVCPRO/DV mode, you can choose from 4:3 (called "norm"), 4:3 letterboxed (called "letterbox"), or native full-res 16:9 (called, mysteriously, "squeeze").
