HVX frame size confusion

Hello,thinking of buying HVX and have been playing with MXF files downloaded from links on this site.I'm a little confused as to the actual frame size of 720p footage.Various QT clips are 1280 by 720 wheras MXF imported into edius shows 960 by 720.Are there different frame sizes to choose from within the two HD resolution settings or has the 960 by 720 been uprezzed when turned into a QT for example?

The DVCPRO HD codec uses a 1.33:1 pixel aspect ratio, meaning that each pixel is not square, it is a small rectangle. Thus there are 960x720 pixels, but if that same image were displayed in square pixels, it would be 1280x720.
