HVX Frame rates...

How can I change frame rates on the HVX?
I first select to record on 720P (FS100), then I go to "Scene File" and select "Operation Type" and click on "Film Cam". Then I try to click on "Frame Rate" but only displays "DEFAULT"...
Even if I select 720P "frame Rate is always on "Default"
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
E.C.

I tried but I couldn't. "Default" is in white and when selected becomes green but no matter how many times I hit the up/down/left/right arrows doesn't change.

I didn't think that could be done on the FS100--Just P2. Also, it has to be set on 720PN for frame rate change.

jarane,

When you see DEFAULT in green push the select button, square in the middle with the pause symbol. Then DEFAULT should change to white letters in an orange box, now use the up/down buttons to select desired frame rate.

Variable Frame Rate is available in all 720P recording formats, page 100 HVX manual.

Now the FS100 may change some availability. Yesterday I spoke with my vendor about my impending purchase of an FS100. OH, the waiting! He told me that there is already a firmware update for the FS100 and that mine should arrive with that update. He specifically mentioned frame rates. Before I ordered my FS100, Focus Enhancements assured me that all features described in the marketing literature would be available. It seems that may not be the case, however they have responded quickly and you should contact them about the firmware update.

I suggest you try the menu changes without the FS100 connected/setup to be sure the camera is functioning properly. Then give it a go again with the FS100.

Good luck and be sure to let me know how it goes.
