HVX for 5500 @ Markertek?

[Trademark]

Hey, Ive been looking for a place nearby to buy my HVX for a little while, and havent been able to find anywhere that actually has a camera for sale on location. I understand that poeple who are on waiting lists from big stores are still waiting, and have been for months.

I called Markertek today after someone in the AV department at my school recomended them. 5-7 days and they can have the camera in store.

My questions are:

Is this a realistic price? It seems cheap but they are Authorized dealers. Will it really be there in 5-7 days? Has anyone else shopped with them? I am just basically trying to buy this camera ASAP, I dont mind paying close to 6K if the sale is smooth.

markertek is legit...I work in a media departement at community college in central new jersey and we do most of our ordering through them. I believe it's so cheap because it is one of the cheaper packages, i.e., no P2 cards or one 4GB card.

yeap, thats what I want, no P2 becasue im holding out for the Firestore. I'm going to get back in touch and see how realistic the 5-7 day wait is.
