HVX filter size

i just bought a HVX and i will be purchasing a matte box but i am not sure whether to use 4x4 or 4x5.65? the HVX isn't a native 16x9 camera so are 4x5.65 filters not needed?

also what is the general matte box setup (brand, model) operators are using with this camera?
