HVX External Recorder?

After a ten year absence, i reunited with an HVX200 as a B cam for my varicam and i was wondering if there was a device like the KiProMini or Hyperdeck Shuttle that accepted a component input?

I never had any problems using a Firestore. I think it was called an FS100? You may be able to find a used one and even convert it to SSD?

The FireStore.FS100 was the external recorder specifically designed for the HVX200. I've got one in a closet somewhere, you can have it for $50+shipping.

didn't the FS100 compress the footage to DVCPRO HD.. it was kind of like a glorified P2 card in a way? I guess the bigger question i should be asking, is the component output on the HVX200A uncompressed? The firestore if memory serves me works via firewire so for sure that has to be compressed in someway. My main objective is to see if its possible to get better looking material out of the HVX than what the P2 method offers me i.e like what I'm doing with my varicam and KiPro via SDI (10bit 4:2:2 uncompressed). Thanks.

I've still got three of 'em!! Were good in their day for shooting long-form like sport and theatre.
