hvx/dvx inferiority complex

hi
i recently bought a dvx100ae but two weeks after they released it, the hvx has been released. i've been analysing footage from both my cam and the new hd. the hd is better and is only five hundred dollars more than what i bought the dvx for. this pisses me off.
can someone outline the reasons for buying a dvx over the hvx? i want to feel better about my camera.

also when i inflate the images on FCP they look pixelated and washed out. is this normal?

$500???

The HVX200 is going to retail for $5,995. The DVX100A retails for $3,995 but can be bought at www.evsonline.com for $3,449....or less if you use your DVXuser discount.

Are we talking about the same camera?

Well, for one thing, it doesn't exist yet and won't be available to buy until maybe December at the earliest.

For another, you can't have been analyzing footage from it because no footage has been released yet.

Third, the DVX goes for about $3400, the HVX starts at $6000.

Barry, what makes you say maybe December at the earliest?
I thought fourth quarter of this year was all that was said from Panasonic so far in terms of the release.
Wouldn't that make it December at the latest?

Why do I feel like I missed some important news?

No, no news... just that B&H used to have it listed on their site as "available September", and now they've changed it to say "available December". So anytime from October 1 to Dec. 31 counts as "fourth quarter"... plus, the guy was looking to feel better about his purchase! :D
