I took my camera to the Panasonic repair center in Studio City because I had two problems: 1) sound not working in ch. 1, and 2) D4 component cable blue signal was working intermittently. I just picked up the camera, and the sound problem was fixed (yay!), but the cable wasn't touched. I asked the guy why it wasn't repaired and he said, "we don't work on accessories." This despite there being a place on the repair form for accessories, and the same guy had no problem taking the cable when I dropped the camera off.
The guy told me that I had to go back to where I purchased the camera to get a new cable.
Anyway, just wondering if this sounds right? Are the cables and accessories not covered under warrantee? Jan, anyone, what should I do to get this cable replaced?
