i used my hvx about 2 weeks ago and it worked perfectly. I haven't used it in 2 weeks because I've been shooting quite a bit of 16mm for school. Today I brought my hvx in to record my 16mm film off the projector so i could sinc sound in final cut, and I'm suddenly having issues. The zoom button on the right, when pressed, immedietely starts zooming back out. The menu button no longer works, and I cannot switch to the p2 store screen in order to get my footage off the camera. Nothing that I know of has happened to this camera in the past 2 weeks, and I have NO idea what's going on. Can anyone shed some light?

This just happened to mine.
The PC cards short on the HVX 's sometimes.
It is a defect, take it to a certified repair house.
If you are not under warranty hold on to your pants for the price.

Sorry to resurrect this thread from the DEAD, but It just happened to my camera
MCR and Menu functions do not work, from remote and from the camera itself.
Elsewhere someone said that it was a common problem with some ribbon cables in the camera.
Could someone tell me where to locate a "Certified Repair House" as I've searched panasonic business support and came up with nothing.
