HVX Book or Bootcamp DVDs

Hi guys,
I'm a former DVXer and now a new HVX owner. I loved Barry's DVX book and I was looking into getting the HVX equivalent. The one thing that is holding me back is the decision to go with the HVX book or get the Bootcamp DVDs. Any recommendations?

Get both of them - the HVX has many more menu choices and the DVD's offer a great hands-on way to learn the options.
 
Doesn't the HVX book still come free with HVX purchase?
(even though it takes 2 month to get)
I ended up buying the dvd's, I couldn't wait 2 months to wait to learn the camera.
 
The HVX Book now actually gets bundled in the box with new purchases from a USA authorized reseller, as of Dec. 1st. Purchases prior to that can get it by rebate.

As for book vs. DVDs, it's all about how you want to learn/use the info. Some people love to keep the book in their camera bag as a reference, and some just can't face reading 270 pages -- they'd rather watch live instruction with side-by-sides and video examples. Both products cover largely the same basic material, just do so in a different way.
 
I love both. My personal preference (if you are trying to think of which to get first) is the book, just for the simple reason Barry listed above.

With the book (which I bought before I ever got my HVX's) you can read it at your leisure, highlight things, mark pages, etc, etc... And, it's a good thing to keep in your bag like Barry said. Especially when you are first learning the camera and need a good reference.

The DVD's are great b/c it lets you actually see it working. See the process, the menu's, etc... I'm a visual learner, so that makes it much more useful as a learning tool for me. But, I still think of the book as a second manual for the HVX.

Oh, that's borderline incredible how the book is now bundled with the camera. Makes a whole lot more sense.
The best thing about the DVD's is seeing the samples and comparisons in live motion.
 
unfortunately in Canada the book isnt bundled with the camera. I appreciate the responses though everyone thanks.

Hi Barry, I PM'ed you regarding the book to be shipped internationally. As mentioned in your reply, I tried Amazon but no avail since they won't let the item to be shipped to the country indicated.
However, I have someone who have a PayPal but he doesn't want to put his PayPal info over the web. Instead he asked for your PayPal email for the book.
Can you PM me for the PayPal email?

Hey, my wife is from Indonesia.

You don't have to use a paypal account to pay. You can use a credit card/debit card as well.

I got my HVX last week and got the book with it , I get allot more out of the book than I do with the manual. What a great bonus ! Every new HVX owner should have it.
