HVX Batteries

I'd go for the DVXuser batteries, I'm going to pick up a few of them as well once I get some more money together. They're a good price, and supposedly they last longer than any other battery. check out the thread about them:

I get 4-5 hour with the lcd closed, fast shipping. and for 25 bucks a pop, I dont think anyone can beat that, I was going to buy the
dvxuser battery but its too expensive for me, just my .02

Looks like a quality battery but I'm wondering if buying some no name batteries that last only 3/4 as long but only cost 1/3 as much might be better.

a package from Spec-Comm. Contained 4 batteries and what's sold as a "Turbo-Charger". A bit pricey compared to some, but they're still going strong, and the Turbo-Charger certainly re-charges faster than the single unit that comes w/the cam, while also showing you a percentage of how much juice the battery has already stored. Be warned, the package certainly isn't cheap, but neither is the quality. You've heard it before: when dealing with a reputable vendor, you get what you pay for.

Man, sorry I didn't know about this last week. For $25 it's certainly worth a shot.

Speaking of batteries, was just going through my gear for an upcoming shoot and noticed that one of my batteries had a sticky film on it under the terminals. Checked the others and they have it to a lesser degree. The interlocking slots on the sides have it as well. I don't know if this a lubricant residue that I never noticed before or electrolyte crawling out of the terminals. Carefully cleaned them up as well as the docking bay in the camera. Something to keep an eye on.
