HVX Availability in Canada

Just got off the phone with Vistek here in Toronto. I was told that they have not recieved any HVX200 stock, and that it hasn't even shipped at all in North America, just demo units. The guy said it would be March before they even have a wait list available. Is this all true? Seems from all the reviews and posts on here that people are getting cameras.
 
So you have been reading all the posts of all the folks who have been getting their cameras, but you spend a few minutes talking to some guy in the retail sector and suddenly your not sure?

Hey, I've got this bridge for sale in Brooklyn, and you can get it fairly cheap, but ya' gotta act fast as there was this couple that was looking at it just this morning...
 
We should be receiving stock within the next two weeks. Only half our order is spoken for so there is no wait list with us right now.

Yeah, I'm not too impressed with Vistek, but I'm leasing a DVX100a from them right now, and want to trade-in and upgrade to the HVX200. If it wasn't for the lease, I'd shop somewhere else.

I also called DvShop and was told by Terry that he didn't know when they would be getting stock.

David, thanks for the info. If I wasn't already leasing from Vistek, I'd go with you.
 
Well I hope I don't sound pushy here but one last suggestion:
When you trade in the DVX are they going to give you it's full resale value, and will they sell you the HVX at a good price, or their regular list?
Weigh the cost difference of this versus selling the DVX privately (should be able to get at least $2500) the buying the HVX at a great price (hopefully from me) save yourself the PST, and see what you come up with.

We just got our first three in five minutes ago. You are #4 so it may be as early as the end of this week or early next week. Hang on!

I also got confirmation that some units have just arrived here in Montreal!! I'm #2 ou#3, so I should have it!!!

Hey guys, just got mine in Ottawa yesterday afternoon. Haven't had much time to play but i'm definately looking forward to the HD solution, with the 35mm lens adaptor that's being built.
