HVX and USA cycling team- need host for video footage

Hi,


I piggybacked on a Varicam shoot the other day and I have some excellent 720 and 1080 P footage of a cycling team. Anyone wiling to host the files?

Can't wait to see some footage... I think some of the olympic stuff will be awesome when it comes out as well...
 
You can remove or obscure this HTTP Server header in a variety of ways, depending on your platform. Apache 2.x users who have the mod_headers module loaded can use a simple directive in their httpd.conf file, as follows:
Header set Server "New Server Name Goes Here"

There's something strange going on with the compressed files with framerates. Looks like frames doubled up when going through a frame at a time. Can you confirm your H264 output settings?
 
nothing strange on my end...the files playback smooth. everything was shot at 30P with pulldown(59.94) to match the 30p on the Varicam.
 
more files posting right now. some quick tests me and my AC shot this past weekend:
jetskis, skydivers and slomo tests.

cycling montage has a few more shots (30P) in it as well.
 
How come I can't view these on my mac? I get a message stating the files are not a format quicktime understands. Couldn't open them in final cut pro either. Anyone have an answer?
 
make sure you have the latest quicktime installed- the files are in h.264 format. If your mac is really old, you may not be able to play the files.
 
The footage looks great and does play back smooth on my computer but why would the clip be playing back at 60fps if you shot it at 30p? I would guess that shooting 30p does not need any pulldown? When playing back your compressed clip, press cmd-i and notice that your FPS is 60. This would explain why there are double frames since it was shot at 30.

In any case..... great footage.
 
30P does have pulldown, hence the 59.94. most Varicam DP's will now shoot 30p for broadcast because it reduces strobing on camera pans. This is something you will need to be aware of when shooting 24p. with 30P it's much less apparent. - for more info see the ASC handbook for panning rates for 24fps/ film.

Are all the files 720, or some of them 1080?

You haven't mention this inormation, and I'd very much like to know...
If any of them are 1080, which are they?
