HVX and Pixel-Shift...

Not sure if this was out there yet, but in the latest issue of EVENT DV,
there is a blurb about the HVX using pixel-shift to acheive HD.

Exact quote:

"Panasonic's HVX-200 was introduced at NAB 2005 and is slated to ship by year's end. It offers multiple flavors of SD and HD including 720p (24 or 60), 1080p24, and 1080i30, as well as DV and DVCPro 50. This camcorder also uses pixel-shift technology and three lower-resolution CCD imagers to give us HD."

As long as it looks good...

You can pull HD from a DVX100 so I wonder if the HVX200 actually uses what might be considered "SD" CCDs?
Exactly! If you can pull this off with SD chips, then I would rather have something not as high using pixel shift to get optimal HD. Having less dense chips make for better latitude (generally speaking). Anyway, the footage and resolution charts will speak for themselves.
