I just got the go ahead to do a documentary, the project is "baseball based", so there will be fast action as well as interviews. There is a little archival footage also(DV).
So I'm in a bit of a kid in the candy store right now due to the HVX, too many choices.
I am planning on 80% of the project w/ the HVX and due to budgetary concerns use my FX1 (1080 60i HDV) as a second cam during games.
At first my thoughts were to go:
720 24P for all the sit down interviews.
720 w/ various frame rates for motion effects/slo mo on some action footage.
1080 60i to "match" the second camera(the FX1) for the real-time game footage.
1080 60i for all the on field interviews.
or do I just say the heck with it and shoot it all 720 60 and convert the HDV to match.
