HVX and Chromakey work

I've been doing alot of music videos on the DVX100/A that include bluescreen work. So far it's been extremely difficult to pull clean keys without edge artifacting.

Does anyone have any idea how the HVX will react to chromakeying? Can anyone do a quick test and just relay the results? Thanks.

philnerd,

what did you use to key that? I am using DV blast but am not getting as much detail in the stray hairs.

I'm supposedly getting my HVX in the next couple of weeks and one of the first tests I'll be doing will be a ChromaKey in a well set up national TV studio.
I imagine with this powerful and balanced studio lighting and so on, the results will be impressive.
I'll post some results here later on.

I did some tests this week and it was great. Did the worst case in available light with fire and it worked. Easy!

i find that dv25 is a little easier to key using green screen vs blue

all video is easier with greenscreen then with bluescreen, even digibeta..
actually even if you shoot on film it's better to use greenscreen these days.
but obviously if you have a scene with a lot of bright green in the foreground you'd want to reconsider ;)
