HVX + Anamorphic Adapter Test

Recently tested an anamorphic adapter - from the DVX100 by Panasonic. Aside from very slight vingetting on camera left, the image was beautiful when the camera was static. However... when you move or pan the camera there is horizontal breakup in video. Has anyone done similar tests? Does this most likely mean the HVX will not work with anamorphic due to technical reasons associated with the way this camera produces the 720P?

Maybe if you showed us some samples of the horizontal breakup, the problem could be diagnosed.

I'd imagine the biggest problem with using the DVX's anamorphic adapter, aside from vignetting, would be the loss of resolution (I know anamorphic lenses, in general, are inherently softer.) Someone else tried the adapter with the Sony HDV camera and found the adapter softened the image significantly. Evidently the adapter was only designed to carry enough resolution for standard definition.
