Hi,
I just started to record HD footage from my HVX directly to my laptop, without any P2 cards or Firestore, but with using Adobe Onlocation. It works fine, and i can open the saved AVI files (Onlocation doesn't save the files as MXF) directly into Premiere Pro CS3 on my laptop.
But when i copy the files onto an external Hard disk, and open these files on my main Desktop pc, it seems that my PC does'nt recognize the AVI files, even when i try to import them in PP3 (only sound).
Windows Media player says i need the ' Panasonic SMPTE 370M (dvh1) codec' to watch the AVI files.
To me it's a bit strange why my laptop does playback the files and can open them in PP3, while my PC doesn't.
Can anybody help me with this issue? Maybe someone can tell me where to find the Panasonic SMPTE 370M (dvh1) codec?
Thanks Alot!
