Steve Shovlar shot the moon with an EX3 and a monster lens....looked amazing.

Has anyone used a 2x converter on a HVX200 to shoot the moon?

Any pics?

The effective focal length of an HVX with a 2x converter would be 846mm (in 35mm photography terms). An EX3 has about a 5.5 conversion factor due to its 1/2" chip, so the EX3 with a 150mm still-camera lens would be about equivalent to an HVX with a 2x converter. So, compare that to what Steve got, if he shot with a 150mm lens you should be able to about match that; if he used a longer-than-150mm lens, you wouldn't be able to match it with an HVX. You could, however, far exceed it with an HPX300 or HD100 or HM700 series, because the 1/3" chips would have about a 7.2 conversion factor. Meaning, a 150mm lens on an EX3 might look like about 850mm, but on an HPX300 it'd look like an 1100mm lens.
