Hvx-205a???

[PantherBoy]

Hello All,

Recently purchased a hvx-205A, which I initially had thought I purchased the hvx-200A suprisingly the camera that arrived had hvx-205A printed on the box. does anyone know about this camera? I checked online to see some reviews or ant info. Low and behold I came across one post from the Akihabara blog stating that this camera was revealed at the NAB 2008 conference. Is this an update to the hvx-200?

nope, same exact camera just a number designated to a different country...which could mean you got screwed out of a warranty. when I search it on google a bunch of chinese websites come up, meaning 205a could be the number given to 200a's meant for China.

You should've made sure you bought from an authorized dealer

Yep, you get no warranty in the USA, no free 16GB P2 card, no HVX Book. You have a gray-market unit from probably Japan.
