When and what type of service should you give an HVX 200A camera? What are the costs associated? 200 hours? 500 hours? lube and oil the sensor?

There's nothing to maintain. The camera records on solid-state so as long as you don't use the tape deck it should lasts for a very very long time.

Yes the beauty of solid state, I've got 350 hours on mine and it works great (knock on wood) am thinking about potential dust on the sensor, zoom servo any preventative maintenence I can do.

If you can get an oil change, I think there'd be alot of folks that would tell you to avoid it, lol(low temperature reasons).....treat your camera well, and you'll be ok. Covers, correct cleaning supplies, good cases, clean hands, etc, will be your best friend.

Oil change was a metaphor, was looking for advise on preventative maintenance, cleaning, beyond day to day care. Keep it clean and use it till it something doesn't work? Does Panasonic offer some kind of maintenance program?

No moving parts = nothing to maintain. Well, an HVX has a tape deck, so there is that aspect of moving parts, and if you're using the tape deck a lot you'll want to give it an occasional cleaning, but -- other than that, yeah, nothing you need to do.

Pretty sure the zoom ring on my HPX moves...

You do need to have you tape deck checked from time to time if you shoot tape. Also make sure that as soon as you feel any roughness in the zoom/focus rings to send it in to be serviced immediatly. We've found that even after we apply our special grease to it to help it feel smoother, it still isn't the same.
